Veteran educator hired to oversee operations, new program development
and contribute to the school’s ongoing expansion
Las Vegas, Nev. - June 3, 2021 - National Technical Institute (NTI), a trade school offering training in HVAC, Plumbing and Electrical careers, announces a new executive position to support its continued growth. Dr. Maria E. Dezenberg has joined the organization as Vice President of Operations, bringing decades of success in strategic leadership in career-focused college and post-secondary education settings.
In her new role, Dr. Dezenberg, a veteran educator and administrator, will be responsible for school operations, new program development, and regulatory and compliance as well as supporting the expansion of NTI across the U.S. with a goal to ensure each NTI student connects their education with a career, she will continuously elevate NTI services and align outcomes with student and employer needs.

For more than 20 years, Dr. Dezenberg has had success advancing education serving traditional college students and adult learners, as well as F-1, immigrant and career-focused, students in for-profit, private,nonprofit and state organizations. In her most recent role as Provost and Chief Academic Officer at Richard Bland College of William & Mary, she increased Fall 2020 enrollment by 5.5% during the global pandemic while providing faculty with comprehensive training on technology and innovative teaching methodologies.
As Associate Provost at Carrington College of DeVry Education Group, the first publicly traded institution of its kind, Dr. Dezenberg provided strategic leadership in curriculum design, academic innovation, and accreditation and regulatory oversight for this career-focused college. She presided over multiple campuses, building a team of National Academic Deans while designing and launching both hybrid and online programs with improved educational outcomes across multiple programs and campuses.
As an instructor, Dr. Dezenberg has maintained adjunct professor status at various institutions including Purdue University Global (online), Richard Bland College, and the University of the People (online). She holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Leadership and Change, and a Master of Arts in Leadership and Change, from Antioch University; an Education Specialist (EdS) in Education Leadership from the University of Alabama at Birmingham; a Master of Arts in International Relations from the University of San Diego; and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Eastern Washington University.
