Las Vegas Science & Natural History Museum to Host America’s Largest Touring Arachnid Exhibit as Part of Summer Traveling Exhibition Series

On display March 21-August 23, Art & Science of Arachnids allows visitors to explore the fascinating world of spiders, scorpions, and their relatives through interactive experiences and live animal encounters

Las Vegas, NV  – Las Vegas Science & Natural History Museum invites the community to explore the captivating and often misunderstood world of arachnids with its summer traveling exhibit, Art & Science of Arachnids, America’s largest touring arachnid exhibition, opening Saturday, March 21 with a special grand opening celebration.

Designed to blend biology, culture, and creativity, the Art & Science of Arachnids allows guests to observe live arachnids up close in safe educational enclosures, marvel at larger-than-life sculptures, and explore artwork celebrating these influential creatures. “When people hear the word ‘arachnid’ they automatically think of spiders, but they don’t realize all the animals that fall under that category,” Glenn added. “Art & Science of Arachnids challenges those common myths and misconceptions, demonstrating how education and hands-on experience are powerful tools for overcoming fear and building appreciation for all of nature’s creatures.”

On display through August 23, the Art & Science of Arachnids is part of the museum’s Engelstad Foundation Traveling Exhibition Series and is included with museum admission or membership.

Located north of Cashman Center at 900 Las Vegas Blvd N., the museum is open daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. General admission is $14 for adults, $12 for students, seniors, and military personnel, and $7 for children ages 3–11. Children two and under are free. Nevada resident discounts are available with valid ID. Tickets can be purchased online at http://www.lvnhm.org or at the door.
