Nevada Preservation Foundation Invites Community to Explore Southern Nevada’s Cultural and Architectural Heritage with Monthly Programming Events
Engaging events bring Nevada’s history to life while fostering pride, supporting preservation, and celebrating the stories that shaped the Silver State
Las Vegas, NV – Nevada Preservation Foundation (NPF), a statewide non-profit organization founded in 2014 to preserve and revitalize historic Nevada buildings and neighborhoods, is hosting monthly programing events to foster a deeper understanding of Nevada’s cultural heritage and the importance of its preservation.

“These monthly events are designed to bring our community into the story of Nevada’s past – not just to learn about it, but to experience it,” said Dr. Paige Figanbaum, Executive Director of NPF. “By exploring our shared history through engaging, accessible events, we’re building pride in our neighborhoods, supporting our local economy and helping to preserve the character that makes Las Vegas and Nevada so unique.”
Leading up to NPF’s annual heritage festival, Home + History Las Vegas 2026, NPF’s monthly programing is designed to educate the community about the foundation’s preservation efforts and resulting benefits including strengthening neighborhoods, creating jobs, diversifying tourism and boosting conservation.

Paradise Palms Bike Tour – September 20, 2025: NPF is partnering with the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) for a guided bike tour through Paradise Palms — Las Vegas’ legendary mid-century modern neighborhood. Cruise past stunning homes designed by famed architects Palmer and Krisel, spot former celebrity residences, and take a close-up look at the bold lines and timeless charm of classic mid-century architecture. Tickets are $35.
Docomomo Tour Day – Las Vegas Sacred Spaces: A Walking Tour of Postwar Places of Worship – October 11, 2025: This walking tour highlights the bold Modern churches that helped shape Las Vegas during its postwar boom. More than places of worship, these sanctuaries became the center of community life, hosting education, fellowship, meals, performances, and outreach that connected neighbors across the city. Step into a cluster of sacred spaces that showcase both architectural daring and civic purpose. Discover the clean lines of St. Anne Catholic Church, the welcoming spirit of Christ Church Episcopal, the geometric character of Trinity Life Center, and the intimate presence of the Great I Am Baptist Church. Tombstone Tales – Saturdays in October 2025: As the final resting place of nearly every pioneer family, tombstones unveil the tales of the thousands who shaped Las Vegas’ vibrant history and witness how burials continue here over 100 years later. Organized crime, murder, and unsavory actions committed by some of those buried here will be revealed. Tickets are $25.
Boomerang Bloom Autumn Garden Tour – November 8, 2025: Peek behind the fences of more than half a dozen exquisitely landscaped vintage homes. This self-guided tour winds through some of the city’s most scenic historic neighborhoods, offering guests a golden autumn afternoon to explore how modern landscaping trends blend with classic vintage aesthetics. Tickets are $35.
Cocktails & True Tales – Oral History Happy Hour: Holidays in Vegas – December 2025: NPF’s Cocktails & True Tales series continues with a winter holiday–themed walk down memory lane. The Composers Room Show Lounge will host as the panel of guest speakers share memories of celebrating the holidays amid the glitter of Vegas’s yesteryear.Tickets are $20.

Home + History Las Vegas – April 16-19, 2026:Save the date for the valley’s largest annual heritage festival honoring Southern Nevada history and architecture through a diverse array of immersive experiences and special events led by local historians.
