A December to Remember: Las Vegas Science & Natural History Museum to Showcase Holiday Traditions Starting November 28
Annual exhibition brings the spirit of the season to life through cultural displays, performances, and hands-on activities that celebrate diversity and community
Las Vegas – The Las Vegas Science & Natural History Museum invites the community to celebrate the season with its annual museum-curated, community-created exhibition, A December to Remember: Celebrating Culture & Community, on display November 28, 2025, through January 9, 2026, with programming starting November 29.
Featuring a unique collection of cultural exhibits, performances, and interactive workshops, the museum will transform into an immersive celebration that explores how different Southern Nevada communities honor the winter season. This year’s six-week exhibition highlights traditions from around the world, including German Christmas customs, Kwanzaa, Las Posadas, Native American Yaqui and Blackfoot traditions, Islamic holidays and observances, Italian Feast of the Seven Fishes, Japanese winter celebrations, Hawaiian cultural practices, and more – along with hands-on Winter Science activities for all ages.
“The holidays come alive when we embrace family, culture, and tradition together, and A December to Remember brings that magic to life,” said Mariely Febles, Outreach and Community Engagement Manager at the Las Vegas Science & Natural History Museum. “Seeing families recognize pieces of their own culture in the traditions shared, and realizing how much we all have in common, is what makes this exhibition truly special.”
Each week, the museum will host a variety of family-friendly demonstrations, performances, and workshops led by community group partners including, Kika Shibata, Aleida Castro, the Kizuna Japanese Society, Gina Cifonelli, Ellis Rice, Rose Oyamot, Jean Munson, Rania Hammoudeh, Harold Akyeampong, and more.
