Las Vegas – GiGi’s Playhouse Las Vegas, the only international network of Down syndrome achievement centers, is inviting the community to celebrate World Down Syndrome Day at its third annual GiGiFIT Acceptance Challenge on Sunday, March 24 at Cornerstone Park in Henderson. The event, which runs from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m., will feature a Kids Dash for Down Syndrome, and Donut Walk/Run (1-Mile Inspiration Walk and a 5K Fun Run), as well as fun activities for the whole family including dancing, yummy treats, a resource fair, and more.
“This year’s GiGiFIT Acceptance Challenge will be one for all of us to rememberAs part of the original start-up team, it’s exciting to see all our efforts come to fruition,” said Justine Chevalier, Site Manager of GiGi’s Playhouse Las Vegas. “Not only will we be celebrating World Down Syndrome Day and acceptance for all, but we’re opening the doors to our Playhouse a few weeks prior, allowing us to extend the celebration to our members and the wider community.”
The GiGiFIT Acceptance Challenge is a physical and social movement for acceptance for all, uniting everyone across race, gender, abilities, beliefs, and more because every person deserves to be accepted as they are. Proceeds from the GiGiFIT Acceptance Challenge support GiGi’s Playhouse Las Vegas and the free educational, therapeutic-based and career development programs they provide to individuals with Down syndrome, their families, and the community.
Registration for GiGiFIT Acceptance Challenge is $21 per person. Register before March 1 and receive a free t-shirt. Sponsorship opportunities are available ranging from $500-$5,000.
