Nevada Preservation Foundation Expands Leadership Team with New Board President and Program Manager
Organization grows staff and volunteer base to support increasing demand for historic preservation programs across Nevada

Las Vegas, NV – Nevada Preservation Foundation (NPF), a statewide non-profit organization founded in 2014 to preserve and revitalize historic Nevada buildings and neighborhoods, has appointed Amy Raymeras its new Board President and April Mench as Program Manager. These additions come at a time of significant growth for the nonprofit, which now has the largest volunteer base in its history, reflecting the community’s increasing interest in preserving and celebrating Nevada’s past.
Amy Raymer, a long-time advocate for local history, has been actively involved with NPF since 2017 and joined its Board of Directors in 2020. She most recently served as Vice President and Programming Chair and also sits on the Preserve Nevada Board of Directors. A retired Clark County School District administrator, Raymer is passionate about creating opportunities for the public to connect with Nevada’s past. She has lived in Las Vegas for more than 25 years and restored multiple historic homes, including a 1954 ranch in John S. Park and a 1961 Palmer and Krisel in Paradise Palms, both brought back to their original mid-century character.
“Preserving our architectural and cultural heritage is about more than buildings – it’s about strengthening the identity of our communities,” said Raymer. “I’m honored to step into this leadership role and continue building on NPF’s mission to share Nevada’s unique history with a wider audience.”

Joining NPF as Program Manager is April Mench, a long-time volunteer and community advocate who has contributed to the organization since 2019. Mench has played a pivotal role in shaping NPF’s signature events, including the Vintage Vegas Home Tour and the Home + History Las Vegas cocktail parties. In 2023, she took on leadership of the Vintage Vegas Home Tour, followed by formally transitioning into the role of Program Manager, where she now oversees planning and execution for one of the organization’s cornerstone heritage tourism programs.
Beyond her work with NPF, Mench has been a professional tour guide with Taste Buzz Tours since 2018, sharing engaging stories of Las Vegas history with visitors and locals alike. She also served as Chair of the Clark County Winchester Town Advisory Board in 2024 and as a representative on the Clark County Community Development Advisory Committee.
“Our programming continues to grow year over year, and April’s experience and dedication to the community make her the perfect leader to expand these efforts,” said Dr. Paige Figanbaum, Executive Director of NPF. “Together with our amazing volunteers, we are well prepared to offer more Nevadans and visitors meaningful opportunities to experience preservation firsthand.”
